Value Assurance: Creating value with every project
What is Value Assurance?
The approach from risk management helps us to select and pursue those projects from the large number of possible projects in the bidding phase that are strategically and financially attractive for us - based on data-driven facts. Once a project is implemented, the Value Assurance process continues: thanks to it, we can classify the risks and opportunities over the entire project duration, assess how profitability will develop, and manage the project accordingly. Value Assurance thus makes a key contribution to being able to grow profitably.

Axel Metzger, Head Value Assurance
Why is the Value Assurance process needed to decide on the go or no-go of projects?
Value Assurance ensures that decisions on projects are made in the right places, depending on complexity and risks, and on the basis of accurate and full information on bids and execution status. Very complex and high-risk projects, for example, are reviewed by the CEO, CFO and General Counsel; the least complex projects by managers in the regional management teams. In total, we have four classes of projects.
How does Value Assurance benefit our customers?
The better we as Implenia understand our customers' wishes and the clearer we can identify the opportunities and risks of a project, the more realistic our offer will be and the smaller the risk that we will have to submit alternative proposals due to later surprises. In particular, our customers also benefit from the knowledge from the various divisions and countries, which can be called up and incorporated into new projects thanks to the standardized process.
What distinguishes Value Assurance from Implenia?
The fact that it is tailored not only to different project classes but also to the requirements of our four divisions. In the meantime, the process we have been working with since 2019 has been standardized and established. The decision-makers feel better informed and can approve projects with more confidence.
And what else is there to do? We need to further digitize and automate the process to eliminate transmission errors due to manual entries as well as duplications in the future. Our goal is to map the process in INSPIRE so that every project runs in the same environment from start to finish in standardized workflows.
