Three ideas more secure
The Group-wide 15-minute training sessions, the Health & Safety Day and the Health & Safety Award are firmly established at Implenia. All these initiatives are designed to bring the topic of safety into the company. "Discussing safety must be just as common as discussing excellence or quality, for example. Incidentally, these are factors that are positively influenced if we take safety seriously," explains Felix Akeret, Global Head Safety at Implenia. Safety is the responsibility of all of us - managers as well as employees on construction sites and in the office. Everyone is required to think and act.
Health & Safety Award
These are the winning projects 2024
The Health & Safety Award is a highlight of the safety year at Implenia. This award is given to three projects on health protection and occupational safety that are driven by employees. The awards ceremony takes place at the annual IELF (Implenia Extended Leadership Forum) - the event where Implenia's top 100 managers come together at its headquarters. Curious which projects impressed the jury in 2024? In the video, the winning teams present their approaches themselves.
1st place
First place went to the project team from Kabeldiagonale Berlin with their innovative and safe approach to pipe cleaning on tunnel construction sites.
2nd place
The Baumeister Basel unit came in second place with the introduction of shoe claws to minimize the risk of slipping on smooth surfaces.
3rd place
Third place went to Implenia Sweden's Safety Push program, which aims to continuously improve the safety culture.
Safety rules - binding for everyone
The six Safety Rules stand above all else. The Group-wide rules are binding for all Implenia employees. Their purpose is to make us aware of potential dangers in our day-to-day work and to sensitize us to them in order to avoid dangerous situations at work and the resulting accidents.
15-minute training sessions
With the Group-wide monthly 15-minute training sessions, key safety topics are explored in greater depth directly at the workplace or on the construction sites and exchanges between employees are encouraged.
Health & Safety Day
Implenia held its third Group-wide Health & Safety Day on 17 September 2024. Once again, all teams on the construction sites and in the offices were invited to take part in this day of action to discuss occupational health and safety in the workplace. This year's theme, "Speak Up!", focuses on the need to address unsafe situations and unacceptable conditions. After all, those who do not look away but actively point out breaches of rules and dangerous conditions can prevent accidents and even save lives.
