"Collaboration is the breeding ground for creativity"
Welcome to Implenia Fassadentechnik, Stefan! What are you particularly looking forward to?
I'm looking forward to actively shaping the future of Implenia Fassadentechnik as Managing Director. I'm excited about the opportunity to put my visions into practice, define the strategy and make decisions that will move both the company and its employees forward. I am also looking forward to working with a highly talented team, some of whom I already know, and to developing innovative and sustainable solutions for our customers together.

He then applied his expertise at the construction company Köster GmbH in Osnabrück before working intensively on all facets of metal-glass façades at Schüco International KG in Bielefeld. Stefan has known Implenia Fassadentechnik since the beginning of his career and has already implemented several projects with the Implenia team. Stefan Heim says about himself: "I am a level-headed, courageous person and a managing director with a heart."
What is important to you when working in a team?
Good collaboration is the best breeding ground for creativity. It is based on open, trusting and proactive communication in an environment in which everyone has the confidence to express ideas and concerns freely.
I want to create a safe, trusting and stable working environment for my team, in which new colleagues can also contribute their ideas quickly. After all, a mix of fresh perspectives and many years of experience is the key to joint success. My approach is calm, level-headed and goal-oriented. Facts are important because they enable well-founded decisions to be made. At the same time, my heart is always in it. Courage is also required to take unconventional paths. I encourage my team to be courageous and actively move forward.
At Implenia Fassadentechnik, our teams work on various projects across different sites. Thanks to modern technologies, it is possible to ensure a continuous and productive exchange even at a distance. As a first step, I would like to gain a comprehensive picture of how the teams are currently working and how we can further promote creative collaboration across locations.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to dive - in the truest sense of the word. I find peace underwater, can switch off and enjoy the fascinating, breathtaking underwater world. When diving, it's essential to stay calm even in difficult moments and act with foresight. This sport is a great balance for me and helps me to find my inner self. I am convinced that this calmness and ability to master challenges will also serve me well in my new role.
In addition to diving, I love the mountains, especially skiing. I'm also passionate about cooking and appreciate art and culture, architectural history and architecture.
What networks do you maintain professionally, online and offline?
I manage my LinkedIn network in a targeted way and consider when it makes sense to be active online or offline. Depending on the target group, direct personal contact or digital communication may be the better choice. Having spent a long time advising planners and customers, I see myself more as an offline networker, but I appreciate the possibilities of the online world. I like to meet people in person at trade fairs, forums or on construction sites. Now I'm really looking forward to making lots of new contacts with customers, partners and colleagues and refreshing existing relationships!
