The benefits of an apprenticeship in construction

Around 90 apprentices start their careers at Implenia and Wincasa every year. Lots of fresh air away from closed rooms and screens is at the top of the wish list for some. Others value above all working in a team, together, towards a clear goal. Still others primarily see the opportunity to take on responsibility and develop themselves further. For all of them, an apprenticeship at Implenia or one of its subsidiaries is the way to go.
What an apprenticeship at Implenia brings
As a leading Swiss construction and real estate services provider, Implenia is helping to build the Switzerland of tomorrow. From the new Gotthard tunnel to the new dam wall on the Grimsel or the Aarau Cantonal Hospital, one of the largest healthcare buildings in Switzerland: Implenia projects are changing the face of Switzerland. The latest technologies and methods are used. And the teams are proud to be creating something that will last for years to come.
Career opportunities pre-programmed
Implenia is always looking for new talent to strengthen these teams. "We welcome motivated young people who are committed to the team and want to make a difference," explains Adrian Geissmann, who supervises the trainee bricklayers at Implenia. What makes an apprenticeship at Implenia attractive?
"We actively look after our young people, every day in the workplace, but also as part of events such as our induction week. apprentice projects or our annual social project weekwhere we spend a week building together in mixed teams of apprentices for a good cause."

"We actively look after our junior staff, every day in the workplace, but also as part of special projects."
Adrian Geissmann
Implenia and its subsidiary Wincasa offer a total of 14 apprenticeships. From the federal vocational certificate EBA in road construction to the commercial apprenticeship with vocational baccalaureate, there is more or less school and work on the screen. There are training and career opportunities in all areas, as Adrian Geissmann emphasizes: "If someone is committed and wants to learn, all doors are open to them at Implenia. We are looking for good people for our teams and are constantly training them, both internally and through external opportunities. And they can also apply their knowledge in practice on our diverse projects."
Inspiring young people for construction professions
Adrian Geissmann himself completed his bricklaying apprenticeship at a predecessor company of Implenia. He has been mentoring bricklayers in training since 2005 and promotes Implenia at events. His message: "Construction jobs offer a lot: you can put your knowledge into practice, watch new things being built, practice working with others in a team and learn a lot about yourself. After the apprenticeship, there is a whole world of further training opportunities open to you. This makes a career in construction attractive - we look forward to receiving many applications!"
