Design and construction of high-performance infrastructure

Energy and mobility infrastructure must be constantly developed or modernised. Implenia provides tailor-made solutions and, with its Civil Engineering division, carries out ambitious and large-scale infrastructure projects.

Thanks to its extensive expertise and long experience, Implenia is one of Europe's leaders in this field. Its success is based on close, partnership-based collaboration with its clients to create the energy and transport infrastructure of tomorrow.

Energy infrastructure for interconnected living spaces

A functional, high-performance energy supply is the backbone of modern cities and regions. Implenia plans and builds production and network infrastructure for district heating, electricity generation and distribution, and hydroelectric power plants, both in densely populated metropolitan areas and in alpine regions. The projects are characterised by precise planning, innovative processes and sustainable implementation.

Bridges – connecting generations

Bridges are essential elements of transport infrastructure. Implenia carries out new construction, renovation and repair work on bridges of all sizes, even during operation and in urban centres. Digital planning, modern construction methods and efficient project management guarantee quality, safety and sustainability.

Precise tunnel construction for safe traffic routes

Tunnels are central traffic arteries and require maximum precision. Implenia is a leader in road and rail tunnel construction throughout Europe and masters all modern tunnel construction techniques, from conventional excavation using explosives to the use of state-of-the-art tunnel boring machines. Even in difficult geological conditions and in confined urban environments, Implenia guarantees safe and timely execution.

A particular example is the construction of the new metro line C with four underground stations in the historic centre of Toulouse. Here, Implenia is using an innovative tunnel boring machine to precisely navigate sensitive structures and complex geology. More than 1,000 sensors continuously monitor the adjacent historic buildings. BIM-assisted planning and close collaboration with the client ensure maximum efficiency, precision and quality.
