Showcase project for modern bridge construction

The replacement of the Rader High Bridge on the A7 near Rendsburg is currently one of the most important infrastructure projects in Germany. As part of the consortium, Implenia is taking on the challenging construction of the new canal crossing - and is relying on a technically highly innovative bridge construction scaffolding system that was specially developed for this project.

Mastering enormous forces safely

At the heart of the system is a cantilever forming traveller - a huge steel structure with impressive dimensions: 30 meters long, 16.5 meters wide and 20 meters high. In combination with the formwork carriage attached to it, which serves as a working platform, formwork carrier and concreting scaffolding, the system has a total weight of up to 150 tons per side. This entire construction has already been successfully lifted to the final working height of 40 meters above the Kiel Canal - a complex and millimetre-precise process that required maximum precision and coordination.
