2024 financial year: targets achieved, profitability increased
André Wyss is satisfied with the last annual results he was presenting as CEO of Implenia: "Implenia achieved the targets set for 2024, further increased profitability and all divisions – Real Estate, Buildings, Civil Engineering and Specialties – were successful. The Group is thus continuing the positive business development of recent years and is consistently implementing its successful strategy."
He emphasizes that all this was only possible thanks to the commitment of over 9,000 employees in Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Norway, France, Austria, Italy and other countries. André Wyss: "On behalf of the entire management team, I would like to thank all employees for their great commitment over the past year!"
Key figures 2024

The most important facts in brief
- All divisions were successful, the EBIT margin increased to 3.7% and the equity ratio improved to 21.2%. These are both important indicators of Implenia's success.
- Implenia confirms and continues to implement its successful strategy with four priorities: portfolio, profitable growth, innovation and talent & organization. In addition to optimizing and developing its existing business, the Group is expanding its portfolio with higher-margin services along the value chain through organic and inorganic growth.
- As part of the strategy implementation, the organization will also be adjusted from four to three divisions and the Implenia Executive Committee will be reduced from eight to seven members.
- The megatrends of population growth, urbanization, energy transition and investment in new or modernized transport and energy infrastructure continue to stimulate demand for real estate projects in attractive urban locations and major civil engineering infrastructure projects.
- With its comprehensive, integrated range of services along the entire value chain and sector-oriented specialization, Implenia is excellently positioned for large, demanding projects in these areas.
- Implenia expects EBIT of CHF ~140 million for the full year 2025, based on the strong operating business in a challenging market environment. The Group's medium-term financial target is an EBIT margin of >4.5% and an equity ratio of 25%.
- The Group wants its shareholders to participate in the company's increasing economic success. The Board of Directors will therefore propose an increase in the dividend to CHF 0.90 (previous year CHF 0.60) per share at the Annual General Meeting on March 25, 2025. The Board of Directors assumes that Implenia will continue to pay dividends in the future.
Annual Report 2024

The Annual Report explains the above-mentioned topics in detail and, in addition to reporting at Group level, also contains key figures and current divisional projects, the corporate governance report, the financial report, etc.
The Implenia Executive Committee (IEC) presented the results to employees at a Town hall meeting on February 26, 2025 – live at the Connect headquarters in Opfikon and also via live stream.

CEO André Wyss and CHRO Claudia Bidwell also discussed Implenia's diversity activities during the Q&A session. "Women are clearly represented at Implenia – including on the Executive Committee and therefore here on stage," explained Claudia Bidwell. "But it's not just about increasing the proportion of women, it's about diversity in general: people from different backgrounds tackle problems differently. With initiatives like Inclusive Leadership, we are helping to attract this diversity."
The last Townhall event before handing over to his successor Jens Vollmar was an opportunity for André Wyss to say a few words to the entire Implenia team:
"On April 1, I will be handing over my duties as CEO to Jens Vollmar. I am very pleased that we have been able to arrange this internally – as well as other successions within the company. This is a good sign for the organization!
We have achieved a great deal as a team over the last 6 ½ years. I am very proud of that. Today, we are financially healthy and excellently positioned on the market. That is to your credit. You have significantly advanced your projects and your organizations. Once again, my heartfelt thanks and congratulations to Team Implenia!
I will fondly remember your great commitment and passion for our projects. It was a great honor for me to lead this great team together with the IEC. I wish you, Jens, every success and happiness, and to the whole Implenia team: take care and good luck!"
