Guillaume, with heart and soul for Tunnels and the team

The same applies to the construction of Metro Line C in Toulouse as to any construction site: Behind every success are teams that work on site every day with commitment, coordination and expertise. Guillaume Lagoutte has been with Implenia since April 2018 and has never left the underworld. As tunnel site manager on Lot 3 of Line C, he also has the rare expertise of a tunnel construction machine operator, a dual skill set that is very valuable on site.

Since his beginnings with the line 15 in Paristhen on the metro in Lyonthe line 17-1 in Paris and today in Toulouse Guillaume has always been mobile and fully committed. But the Toulouse site has a special meaning for him: it finally allows him to be closer to his family, as he comes from the region and lives in Carcassonne.

Every day, Guillaume starts early and goes to the tunnel to coordinate with his production teams, solve any problems and ensure a strong and human presence on site.

Being a site manager requires a presence on site. You have to organize the work, manage the teams and materials, ensure safety and move the site forward. A key role, in the middle of the tunnel and very close to the people. Guillaume also coordinates between the teams, for example when crossing stations between the tunnel and crossing teams.

In addition to these tasks on site, there are also administrative tasks that are essential for the smooth running of the construction site. Guillaume is always available and versatile, but above all he is a site manager who is close to his teams and is appreciated for his good humor, responsiveness and team spirit.

"Human relationships give meaning to the
give meaning to the work."
Guillaume Lagoutte, site manager

Guillaume loves his job, which he does with enthusiasm and humanity. What does he value most? "The variety of situations, the contact with the teams and the feeling of contributing to the progress of a specific construction project every day," he explains. "I feel at home at Implenia. I appreciate the strong team spirit, which is characterized by solidarity, good humour and mutual help. For me, it's these human relationships in everyday life that make the difference and give meaning to the work, even in such a demanding environment as tunnel construction."
