Implenia also meets the growing demand for high-performance IT infrastructure with suitable solutions: cloud services and artificial intelligence require more and more data centres. Since 2020, Implenia has already built its eighth data centre in Switzerland – another core competence of the Buildings division.

A special example is the listed Lokstadthallen in Winterthur. Where traditional locomotives were once manufactured, Switzerland's most modern casino is currently being built. First, the existing building structure was statically reinforced and fitted with a new roof covering. Now, Implenia's timber construction experts are installing a futuristic new ‘Loki’ to house the slot machines.
